Who are you?

We’re a new player in the car insurance market. Our name comes from the original word used to describe motorists back in the early 1900s; and that means we’re one of you. But don’t worry, that doesn’t mean we’re old-fashioned. We recognise the concerns drivers have today; being treated fairly and the rising cost of insurance premiums. That got us thinking; what can we do to make insurance that little bit better for the Autoist?

Careful now, you'll make us blush! We're actual human beings, not a number-crunching machine. Which is good, because you're not a number to crunch. We'll do our very best to treat you fairly and make you feel valued, and if we ever get it wrong we'll do everything we can to make it right.

Tell me a little bit about what you do

Autoist has been designed with all of our personal experience of being an insurance customer at the forefront of everything we do. We've slimmed down our Quote process to only ask the questions we actually need to provide you with a price, and we've thought carefully about what customers want from their insurance. Things like the ability to make changes when you want to, whatever the time.

It's also important to make sure customers benefit as much as possible with the service and technology we use. If we want to deploy something to make our lives easier we have to make sure it won't make your life worse. The TomTom CURFER is a great example of this as it lets us collect what we need but it gives you so much more. Keeping that balance is really integral to what we do here at Autoist, it's why we're confident that we offer something a little bit different to the traditional car insurance market.

What's next?

We want to continue to grow so we can make insurance better for more people. We also want to focus on what makes Autoist great and improve it even further. More Rewards, bigger savings; that sort of thing.
We also think insurance can continue to be simplified. We're working hard to test and try new ideas to save you time when administrating your insurance policy. And that's not just to keep our IT team occupied so they don't take over our twitter account with cat pictures.
